John Jacques, building a very modified 43′ trimaran showed us the tool he uses. I can’t wait to try it. He runs the rotary wire brush along the coves to smooth them out.

It depends on the hand experience. I take a media (sand, soda etc) blaster any day over a rotating wire brush. Again hand eye coordination and materials are the key.
Not hard to get good results but it does take a little practise to get the feel for shaping evenly depending on how hard the cove is, the newness of the rotary wire brush and how hard you push.
