Ah Ha! Now I understand the purpose of the oxbow bow. When you fatten the sterns to get your queen berth further aft you need to add buoyancy to the bows to maintain the same CB when the boat pitches or is pressed under sail. Next year’s fashion will be the scow bow that has blindsided the MINI fleet. There is even a semi-scow bow Open 60 under construction in Froggyland.
