It was probably a government grant! It takes a lot to attain that speed with conventional fuel, rubber, oil, springs on a conventional road.
They got the shape close to optimal (the front and back need stabilizers).
Porche builders get my respect for durability and performance. I don’t think they build cars by hand anymore for the last 20 years or so.
