Archie should know best. I remember a time when dampeners were used at the base of the mast and rigging. I can’t find any products on the Internet. Lost knowledge!
These are for buildings but they look like the ones I knew just extremely oversized.

just compare the section properties of each.
freestanding would be even more true.
