  1. Hi Kurt! This is Maury Loomis, I was moored up next to you in Catalina/Hamilton cover on ball H-25 this last weekend in my 43′ Nortech Super V – Blue paint.

Love your Catamaran, its a beast. I couldn’t believe how wide it was looking down from above Hamilton Cove. I’d love to sail on one of those someday.

I thought I’d ask if you saw anyone tying up to the side of my boat. I had some damage/a lot of scratches in the clear coat/rubbing marks that span about 3-4feet on the port side of my boat , up near the bow. It looks like a dinghy tied up along side of the boat and scratched/rubbed up and down on the side of the paint.

I was wondering if you saw anything? Two of my bird be gones are missing, the front one survived. I had a feeling I might loose them from the cover blowing in the wind, those are no big deal.

But the scratches in the clear coat, rubbing marks, are pretty significant and will require taking it to a shop for paint repairs. I keep it on a lift in HB harbor and I also have a home in Hamilton cove so I’m over at the Island a lot during the year.

I’ve just never seen anything like this so I thought I’d reach out and see if you noticed a small boat up near my bow or rubbing against the paint.

Thank you and it was nice seeing your Catamaran out last weekend!

    Maury
