I’m finally able to start updating the very successful 45 cruising cat plans. Some of the recent performance cruising cats that I have seen look like they intend that looking good is more important than being usable.
It will still have full headroom, excellent shorthanding ability and cruising usability.
It does have a hotter sail plan keeping with trending now.
The plans are available at the old price until the study plan set of the update is available.
Alex took Salty Cat out for a cruise to Sucia Island. “There was no dock space available and the mooring buoys were all taken so we had to anchor. We did this at the shallow head of the bay, much to the envy of the deeper draft sailboats.” Recall Salty Cat is a 45′ foam/glass cat with an unstayed Aeroesque mast.

When I tried to look at it I see that I’m required to log in. The email line does not allow copy and past so you have to type.
Then I came up with password. I was disallowed in because my name was invalid, although I was never prompted for a name. You might think it was Bill Gates’ Paypal account.
If I recall correctly, my designs compare as under canvassed as I only count the blade and not genoas. Many other designs count the genoa area. I thought it was this group who
I was sent these pictures of my 36′ cruising cat a couple of weeks ago. I did not have time to look then. I found them yesterday. Thanks to Doug Schuch.
At first I thought the lower pic might be photoshopped, but I think the white bottom paint is what looks unexpected. The shadows do all line up.
It was built in the Netherlands as I recall. It is alloy. I don’t usually recommend alloy for a cat this small, but it looks great. It looks like it does its job. And its out there doing it.
