The lunar lander dwelling got squirted with the 2 part poly that I needed to get on before the weather got colder. So I’m back in the office getting to everyone’s  projects now.

I have learned that several of my builders have excess fabrics and core. I wonder if there is any interest in setting up some kind of exchange here? I would like the materials to only go to my builders if possible. Thoughts?

Would be great to be there.

Got a rendering of my 40 daycharter cat built in China. It was based on the F40 performance cat built by Mystere a decade ago. In the new economy, the customers take my 3D model and have a kid create the rendering at minimal cost.

I spotted these great examples of composite hardware foundations on the Hall Spar at CSR. The boat is a Baltic 77. One is a boom base and the other is a vang base. Flipped upside down the vang base is how I see the best hound bases on multi now.

I just picked up the box of reprinted CM Construcion Manual on DVDs. I will be shipping out to everybody who ordered them.

While at CSR today I saw this new Bieker anti-cavitating rudder. I was told that it helped a big Perry boat, Icon I think it was, a lot. Not sure how it works. Would mean rudders must be CNC if it is a thing. I don’t know if it only works on monos or at what speed it works best. Would real fences work better? Was 36 years ago this week that I launched my first trimaran. Was my home for a couple of years.

I heard it held the Point Hudson Race record time for several years. I remember the race officials asking if we could prove we rounded the mark. We could. It was still daylight when we crossed finish line back in Seattle.

I just got a picture of one of my 40′ foam/glass flared hull cats. This is the one built by Kenny in Port Townsend.  I recall that it was built around 1994. It is a design for upper latitudes sailing, not tropics. It has a bit more “in” than “out”.  Inside and  outside helm stations.  Nowdays it could be 90% built with a flat bagging table.
